New Bridge Laws - get the word out there!

Thanks to Murray and Caroline Wiggins for their seminar today, educating our region's directors on The Laws of Duplicate Bridge 2017. These come into effect in New Zealand on 1 August, and there are a few changes from the 2007 Laws that we all need to be aware of.

Thanks also to all the directors who gave up their Sunday morning to come to the seminar. I forgot to do a head-count, but we had directors from Cambridge, Hamilton, Huntly, Katikati, Matamata, Mount Maunganui, Morrinsville, Putaruru, Rotorua, Taupo, Tauranga, Te Aroha, Te Awamutu, Te Puke and Waihi.

Thanks to all who participated in the inter-provincial trials over the weekend. As usual, it was very well organised by the Tauranga Club, and smoothly run by director Dallas Dagg and scorer Jan Spaans. We had 20 pairs participating in the open/women/seniors field, and 8 intermediate pairs which was a pleasing turnout.
