New NZB Admin Interfaces
ACCESS CODES FOR NEW USERS
To register on the NZ Bridge website (www.nzbridge.co.nz), first time users are now required to input an access code. This is not their NZ Bridge player number.
These are a unique number generated automatically and can be accessed by club administrators under the club admin page under 'edit player' function.
To streamline the process - it is advisable to enter the email address of the player who will then be emailed their unique Access Code with instructions on how to register.
RESETTING PASSWORDS/CHECKING EMAIL ADDRESSES
Players are able to get a reset password sent to them directly from the NZ Bridge login page, however, we have had enquiries from some that have been unable to do this ... we've found in many instances they had the incorrect email address inputted on their profile or they haven't already subscribed (thus will need you to input their email and send them their access code as above).
You can check on the club admin screen whether they are already subscribed:
Then click on the player name to check their email. If it is correct then 'send password reset'. They will be sent instructions and a link to change their passwords.
If they have changed their email addresses recently (ie many have recently stopped using xtra.co.nz domains) they can use their old email and passwords to login and players can then change their email addresses themselves under their login profile.
However, as a last resort, when players can't access the old details or are not receiving their password resets, please contact me to reset their emails and passwords centrally.
Probably the major change you will notice as a club administrator will be when adding/editing players from your club. Any player changes will generate a sequential access code which is sent to the players email for them to confirm/register on the website.
Therefore, it will simplify the process if you have the players email to hand when adding/editing their details (although it can still be done if the players email is unknown).
There is a new help tab on the administration page which we suggest using in the first instance if you are having any problems.
