Regional Championships - formerly the InterProvincials

The 2024 Regional Championship trials to represent the Waikato-Bays region will be held online on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 May this year for Open, Women, Senior and Intermediate teams to represent our region later this year. Poster and details are attached below.

Entries for all categories are open on the NZB web site.
1. The format will be Swiss Pairs style with sections arranged depending on numbers entering
2. All players must be a member of a club in our region. A player who also belongs to a club in another region must play regularly in the Waikato Bays Club (as per residency requirement in NZB manual).
3. Contestants must be prepared to make themselves available to play for three days from 29 November.

2024 Regional Championship Finals
NZ Bridge is moving this event to Wellington. It is scheduled to run from 29-Nov to 1-Dec. Regions have the choice of sending teams of either four or six players. See the attached advice from the Board.

Please note that the Finals have a huge impact on our finances. We will apply for a grant towards the costs, but there is no guarantee we will receive any funding. Therefore, please be aware that the region will only be able to fund accommodation on a twin-share basis.

NZ Bridge normally announces a travel subsidy for this event.
