Preparing Compass for the New Year

This is a list of points covered in the Zoom presentation using desktop sharing. More complete notes are attached below. There were two sections - Year Rollover and Tidiness of the Database

Year Rollover presented 8-Dec 2024

• Always READ THE HELP - relevant PDFs attached below
• Demo of the three methods .. 1) Enter from scratch .. 2) Use Add-A-Year .. 3) Export to edit in Excel then re-import - can be done any time, eg late October
• Use Intuitive Dates? - no entry in CCOE for a session-day specified in CISU > Club Sessions: Scoring Assist Mode (SAM) will invent one
• Beware of event name duplication - Milan results, at least, are grouped by competition name
• Printer version for club booklets
• Director IDs
• Set up next year's subs (and Compa$$ rates)

Tidiness of the Database presented 15-Dec 2024

• Member Information Check emails
• QUARTERLY pre-NZB-invoicing - reconcile NZB data held with club's Member Information and Masterpoints presented
• Year flips over automatically on 1-Jan
• Check and align Basic Member Type with Subs Member Type in the new year so as to preserve the historical record
• Compass ISO Week Number calendar
