Omokoroa's LearnersOmokoroa's Learners• Take one happy friendly Bridge Club whose numbers, due to their average age, are sadly slowly declining.
• Take 34 Players wanting to keep their Bridge Club alive.
• Have a keen Captain and Committee ready to try anything.
• Take all members of the club getting behind their leaders and ready to give them support.
• Add Jane Stearns “How to Rejuvenate a Bridge Club”.
• Add a dash of NZB support and W/Bays RBM
• Add 3000 flyers, articles in Lizard News, the Omokoroa Omelette and lesson adverts
• Mix well together with hard work and enthusiasm
• And look at the result – 26 people attending the first lesson!!

Eunice acknowledges that the success achieved by the Omokoroa club is all due to their own efforts, their enthusiasm and hard work of both the members of the committee. In particular, compliments go to David Luxton, who has led the way, also to Ross Peterson who volunteered, without any experience, to take the lessons using the NZB guidance and who has, with other club members supporting him, achieved fantastic success, with the majority of learners seeing the course through. These new learners will shortly be Joining this lovely club and will be well supported while they begin their journey into the addictive world of Bridge playing. Congratulations Omokoroa, for you this is only the beginning, and I wish you every success in the future!
