New Season Gearing Up

Many clubs are finishing their Summer Bridge series and getting down to the serious business of a regular playing programme this week. There are coaching sessions and lessons on offer - check them out here and here.

Great little idea on the Te Awamutu site - team building for the club's dealers!

And another great idea ... try playing an Individual movement. They're a fantastic ice-breaker at the start of the year. Ella Gray of the Hamilton club sprung one on the final night of the senior Wednesday session last year. All these top players you'd never even think of asking for a game: we all got to play with and against each other and it was great FUN! FUN is what's missing in many of our clubs - get some here with Individual Movements. The Compass scoring program has a number of such movements available right now, soon to be augmented in the next release by many more that will cater for 1, 2, or 3, extra players. You can download Bob Fearn's help page on this topic by clicking here. Totally recommended!! *****

Last week's whistle-stop tour of NZ by James Ward, founder and CEO of Pianola, proved a real eye-opener for those who use it on a basic level. In a short talk he gave to 20 people at the Cambridge club he breathed new life into peoples perception of the product. All attendees left inspired to try out some of the new things he pointed out to us.

What should/could be happening for all players of X-Club deals who wish to try this free service is that a Pianola email will arrive with your results for the session. Clicking on a button in the email will take you to the Pianola website where you can log in (you must have accepted an invitation to create a login - or you wouldn't have received the email) and do all sorts of wonderful things that you didn't know about previously. You can ask for one of these invitations by clicking here and, if you're a member of Cambridge, you can also ask Liz, Jenny, or Michael to generate you an invitation for the Cambridge-specific report emails.
