Thames Festival kicks off the 2017 Bridge year

Thames and Waikato Bays threw a great tournament to herald in the New Year. Over 140 people turned up to compete in one or more of the four competitions taking place over the three days.

Winners of the John Eldridge Teams Trophy: (l-R) Noel Grigg, Grant Jarvis & Ken Yule along with Kathy Yule (unfortunately absent from the pic) were the top team out of 28 in the John Eldridge Teams competition.

Kate and Judy: Kate Terry and Judy Pawson from Tauranga must think Thames is their happy place ... picking up the 5A Alan Barclay Pairs Trophy.

Josie and Jennifer: Locals Josie McKenzie and Jennifer Watts win the 8B multigrade pairs at Thames
