New Directors Course Offered

To all Waikato Bays clubs:

The Waikato Bays Regional Committee is arranging for one or two weekend seminars next year, aimed at new and prospective directors. We will let you know the details of these in due course. However, if you don't want to wait, you might like to consider directing training in Taupo during January.

I am organising training for new directors in the Taupo Club, and am happy to open it up to anyone else from Waikato Bays who would like to come. This will be 3 Wednesday afternoons in January, starting at 2pm:

• 11 January: Intro to directing, how to read the law book, manual etc
• 18 January: Movements for bridge sessions and how to set up the computer
• 25 January: Common rulings

There will be no charge.

Although it might be a long way to come, you might like to make a day of it - have a dip in the lake in the morning, do the seminar in the afternoon, go out to one of Taupo's fabulous eating places for dinner, and play bridge at night.
