Intermediate League Wraps Up

After seven rounds of the Waikato-Bays Intermediate League, last year's winners' names could have been engraved on the handsome (rapidly-turning-into) gold (but-it-used-to-be-silver) trophy before Sunday's final at Cambridge. Leanne Curry and Megan Jolly of Hamilton shared first-equal placings with 32 points earned over eight events. Third equal were John Little and Graeme Saunders from the Waikato club with 24 points narrowly ahead of Marcus Dudley on 23 and Bettina Dudley of Te Puke on 20. Although they are Individual series the Leagues certainly show up the values of practiced partnerships.
