After nine tournaments, the final intermediate event at Cambridge wrapped up and also decided the top of the Intermediate League and who won the coveted Barclay Cup.

Top performers in the Intermediate League

Mike Nicholson and Carol Cullen from Mt Maunganui played in every event and were well ahead of the rest of the field along with Elspeth Goodrick and Wendy Blackman from Rotorua who ended up in 3rd= position.

Prize money was awarded to the top 10 places (although with many 9th equal, the Waikato Bays committee had to stretch the money out a bit.

9th equal Karen Thomson (Hamilton), Bren Birss & Pamela Pederson (Mt Maunganui), MArk Bendall & Leonie Pritchard (Rotorua) all on 9 pts
