Roundup - Week 41

The premiere event of the week was undoubtedly Cambridge's 40th Anniversary celebration. Everyone dressed in ruby(ish) colours and the night was styled "Ruby Murray" - Cockney rhyming slang for curry .. which is what was on the menu for dinner that night. Over 90 attendees including half a dozen foundation members enjoyed their curry followed by one huge cake. For old times' sake a few hands of bridge followed.

It was a busy weekend for tournaments with the Taupo 5B occupying 26 pairs on Saturday. The winners were Blair and Liz Fisher of Hamilton. This event was preceded by the Waitomo Vets which drew 15 tables on Thursday the 13th and was won by Judy Butler and Lesley Chubb of Waikato.
