Spa Town Teams and Directors Seminar

Due to the Wellington lockdown the Spa Town Teams will allow only players from level 1 areas.

This not only excludes the players from the Wellington Region, but also precludes Allan Joseph from directing the event. Consequently, Allan's Directors Seminar scheduled for the following day, 27 June, is cancelled.

Waikato Bays IP Team accommodated by Pub Charity

The Waikato Bays Regional Committee applied to Pub Charity Ltd for funding to assist our Inter-Provincial representative team with accommodation during the Inter Provincial Championship in Christchurch at the end of the year.

We are very pleased to announce that our application this year was again successful. We received $4695.65 which is the full amount we applied for.

WB Interprovincial Trials

Hi All

Thank you to those who have already entered.

For all the others, only a couple of weeks before the entry to the IP Trials closes.
Let's try to get our best provincial players together and fight it out in a full room at Tauranga.

Hope to see you there.

Kind regards

Thank you to Pub Charity Ltd.

The Waikato Bays Regional Committee applied to Pub Charity Limited for funding to assist our Inter-Provincial representative team with accommodation in Dunedin at the end of the year. We are very pleased to announce that the application was successful, having receiving $6653.74, which was the amount we applied for, minus the GST component.

Our committee is extremely grateful to Pub Charity as their grant ensures we are able to fund other activities rather than siphon off our funding in this area.

Great response to the Rubber Bridge Challenge

Waikato Bays Rubber Bridge Competition has eventuated into a good competition with 15 pairs putting themselves up to battle it out for Regional Supremacy and the right to take on the rest of NZ at the Dan Gifford Rubber Bridge competition being played at National Congress.

About this new web site

The Waikato Bays Regional Committee agreed some time ago that the website used at www.wbbc.co.nz had too many restrictions for modern web site use. The results publication method and the results themselves in text form were still from the ark and photos couldn’t be uploaded. We decided to take the regional web site to the 21st century.
