Congratulations Te Awamutu on a very smoothly-run day at the WAPs last Sunday. Only two rounds gone and the leaders are putting lots of daylight between second and third place. Gold Grandmasters Jenny Millington and Barry Jones of Hamilton have Cambridge's rising stars, Di Emms and Jane Stearns, snapping at their heels just three points behind on 246. Charity tournaments are usually fun events and so it seems at the Anne Managh Kokako Trust Tournament 2017 at Rotorua on Sunday last.

It was a busy weekend of bridge all round. Congratulations to the Mount Maunganui club for huge successes amongst its members in their Multigrade Pairs tournament on Saturday.
